CRAZY days at school

This week at CCS has been 'CRAZY' week...so far they have had house shoe day, crazy sock day, crazy color day & crazy hair day.....the kids have loved it....oh, and the teachers too....if only you could have seen the PRINCIPAL of CCS today...lol...(maybe there be a pic out soon of him)

My oldest daughter Brooklyn has really enjoyed each day...she wished it could be like this all the time....every morning so far this week while getting her dressed she would get this silly little giggle going and couldn't stop....it was so funny...I think it took us twice as long to get dressed these last couple of days because she was just too excited to do anything.....at first she was extremly embarrassed...she thought she would be the only one looking goofy.

Here are a few pictures of the last couple of days:

A big "Thank You" to Sis. Calah & Sis. Parker for planning such fun days for the kids to enjoy (and the teachers). I think it makes going to school fun!!!

Get Desperate!!!

We’ve all heard the story so many times about the woman with the issue of blood. Isn’t it interesting that the multitudes were pressing toward Jesus and only one really touched Him? What made Jesus notice her among all the rest? This woman was desperate. I think she finally realized that what she truly needed was a touch from the Lord. As she reached for Him, dynamic power flowed out of the Lord that immediately healed and changed her!

Somehow, we are convinced that the solution to all our problems come from things from or in the world! We tend to look to people and material things to satisfy our earthly desires instead of looking to the Lord!

Do you need a touch from the Lord today? How much are you longing for Him? Let’s abandon the ways we’ve been reaching out to the world in search of strength and determine to reach out to the Lord in faith and believe!
Let’s get desperate for more of HIM!!!

Thanks for stopping by,
Love each of you!

Shining Light In This Dark World

1 Peter 2:13-17 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men: As free, and not using your liberty for a cloak of maliciousness, but as the servants of God. Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.

I can see how politics are getting ugly and more often than not how it changes people not for the better…but often for the worse! As the elections are heating up in the United States there have recently been some outrageous attacks. And sadly, I feel pretty sure these attacks will only intensify in the days ahead. However, I’m encouraged! Because, often, the enemy’s destructive intentions and attacks become God’s means for testimony and victories! Watching the current election process in America, without mentioning names, I suggest we may witnessing the Bible and Christianity being a thing of the past.

Anyway, don’t let the political season shape you for the worse, with bitterness, mockery, sarcasm, etc…

You are — a child of the Most High! Be a confident, respectful, and quietly shining light in this dark (political) world, and continue to pray the Lord’s guiding hand upon the leaders who face the tremendous responsibilities and challenges ahead!

Are you Consumed by Emotions…

Emotions are the most vivid aspect of our human experience. When we are in the middle of intense feelings, they seem like ultimate reality. Because of this, it is easy to rely on our feelings rather than truth to determine our attitudes and actions. However, God never intended for us to be controlled by our emotions.

Because our emotions have no intellect, they cannot analyze whether the scene in your mind is something that is actually happening or is something you conjured up in your imagination. Our emotions simply respond, because God designed them that way.
Emotions cannot discern the difference between the past, present, or future. You may be dwelling on something that happened yesterday. Or you may be thinking about what might happen tomorrow. Your emotions don’t know the difference. They respond as if it were occurring right now.

Emotions in themselves are not bad. They merely respond to what you are putting into your mind. However, if you allow them to determine your attitudes and actions, you have a foundation that will crumble under the strains and challenges of the world.

Recalling events from our past can stir our emotions to respond in the present. Through continually mulling over past hurts, resentments, disappointments, and injuries, we can make ourselves absolutely unable to function today. Those things may have happened a long time ago, but our feelings cannot tell the difference.

Feelings are the most unreliable things in the world. They go up and down like a yo-yo. But God has given us something much more reliable than feelings to depend upon in life –His Word. Learning to renew our minds by God’s truth, and stepping out in faith in Him is the first step to experiencing true freedom from any emotional bondage.

Have a Wonderful Day!!!

I ran across this while reading this morning and thought it would make each of you SMILE!!!

Psalms 34:1 I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

There once was a woman who woke up one morning, looked in the mirror, and saw that she had only three hairs on her head. “Great,” she said, “I think I’ll braid my hair today.” So she did, and had a wonderful day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and saw that she had only two hairs on her head. “Hmm,” she said, “I guess I’ll part my hair down the middle.”
So she did, and had a wonderful day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and saw that she had only one hair left on her head. “Wow,” she said, “today I get to wear my hair in a pony tail.” So she did, and had a wonderful, wonderful day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and saw that there wasn’t a single hair on her head. “Thank God!” she exclaimed. “I was running out of things to do with my hair!”

ATTITUDE is everything! Let’s be grateful for the things God has given us and have a wonderful day!

Daily Devotion

This was on a site that I go to every morning...thought I would share it with you!!!

Proverbs 25:27-28 (KJV):
27 It is not good to eat much honey: so for men to search their own glory is not glory.
28 He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.

Proverbs 25:27-28 (AMP):
27 It is not good to eat much honey; so for men to seek glory, their own glory, causes suffering and is not glory.
28 He who has no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down and without walls.

These verses from Proverbs tell us that it is not good to boast of one's own accomplishments, and also states that one who cannot rule their own spirit is like a broken down city. Verse 27 tells us that eating too much honey is not healthy, nor is it healthy for a person to seek ways in which to honor himself. To seek one's own glory is to seek a good opinion of one's own attributes that would bring honor or glory to himself. Obviously, this would lead a person to being prideful in their own accomplishments. The Bible has a lot to say about avoiding pride, as when a person yields to this sin, it will set them up for a fall.

Proverbs 16:18: Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.

Scripture of the day...

Pride only breeds quarrels, but wisdom in found in those who take advice. Proverbs 13:10
